Casio G-Shock Collaborations: DQM & LRG

Having seen a rise amongst the sea of watchmakers the past couple of years, Casio remains a top pick in the streetwear industry. Reflecting a timeless spirit alongside simple yet popular innovation, their G-Shock collection picks up where they left off in 2009, with two new collaborations for the Spring/Summer season. Selected for a second go round, LRG brings their design efforts into a three color selection featuring a complete aquamarine colorway with red and white accenting, alongside signature nature related graphics of course. Casio G-Shock 7800 Series

Switching it beyond your usual 5600 and 6900 releases comes a new style for January from Casio G-Shock. The 7800 series incorporates the boxy shape of the 5600 with a larger dial. Many of the same functions you’ve come to expect are present including world-time, stopwatch, timer and LED backlight. Four models are available including your staple black model, however some bolder pieces are also on hand including silver, gold/snakeskin and black/croc.

LRG x G-Shock 10th Anniversary “Time is Money” Frogman

Often far away from the collaboration scene, LRG has used one of G-Shock’s most formidable watches, the Frogman to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Similar to LRG’s previous G-Shock collaboration, the Frogman maintains a nice clean colorway with an orange colored font for the button functions and the use of blue on the dial. The watch will probably never be used for its intended job as a dive watch, so no need to bore you with the watch’s specifics. The $600 USD watch is unavailable.
